Foula

Between Great Britain and the main Shetland Islands is a small island called Foula. It contains many rolling hills and views of rock formations off the coast. The hills/mountains especially look like a fun place to wander around.

Chenonceau

Chenonceau Castle is quite a uniquely-designed castle in central France. As it crosses the river Cher, part of the structure becomes a beautiful arched bridge. The spires and color scheme of the building go together quite well also.

Other castles in the area would also probably be worth visiting, including Chambord and Amboise.

Åland

There seem to be millions of islands in the archipelago of Åland. Plenty of these islands are really islets, since they are so small. There is also a population in this area, so I'm curious how this interesting geography affects the culture. I'd also like seeing so many islands in one area.

Gondar

Gondar is an Ethiopian city rich in history and architecture. There are numerous castles, including some world-famous ones, which are quite lovely to look at.

Simien Mountains

Simien Mountains National Park is a collection of magnificent African wildlife and scenery. The views from some of these high places must be unimaginably grand.

Taka Mountains

The Taka Mountains are an enormous topographical masterpiece by the city of Kassala in eastern Sudan. Surely there's plenty to do/see in the city, but I'd really enjoy getting up close to these enormous rocks.

Annobón

Equatorial Guinea somehow has possession of a faraway Atlantic island called Annobón, south of Sao Tome and Principe. This island looks worth visiting, though, with beautiful green plant life everywhere and interesting terrain and coastlines.

Laguna Quilotoa

The Laguna Quilotoa seems to be an Andean version of Orgeon's Crater Lake. It's in Ecuador, and most likely in a fairly different environment than the Cascades.

And it's huge.

Table Mountains

In southeastern Newfoundland, I discovered a magnificent set of mountains near a place called "Red Rocks". Here there is a large hill complete with a road to its summit, from which there is a view of this magnificent range. The pictures people have taken from the top of the Table Mountain(s) appear equally stunning.

Caldwell County Courthouse

Lockhart, Texas, is apparently the seat of Caldwell County. Its courthouse in the city, however, was a much more interesting find. A central clock tower surrounded by other spires reaches to the sky, and the colors and design of the exterior are quite lovely.

Bee County's seems quite interesting as well.

Cerro Mandango

Vilcabamba, Ecuador, has a neat mountain above it, which I believe is called "Mandango". Only the photos can accurately describe it, compared to the pathetic sentences I write on this blog. I think I've got the right location on the Google map for this thing, so you can check Panoramio to see why it looks cool to me, perhaps.

Klein Curaçao

Klein Curaçao is a tiny island in the Caribbean that, I assume, belongs to Curaçao, which belongs to the Netherlands. Anyway, I like this island because is looks so peaceful and isolated. A picturesque ancient-looking lighthouse is located here, and the experience of walking around on the surrounding grounds sounds like a really neat experience.

Hammeren

The area of Hammeren, "the hammer", is around the northwest tip of Bornholm, a Danish island in the Baltic Sea. Hammeren has a lot of interesting features, such as a castle ruin called Hammershus and a significant granite feature called Hammerknuden. Aside from the neat Danish names, it's quite a pretty place.
