Great Blue Hole

The Great Blue Hole is pretty much that. Off the coast of mainland Belize is either an island or an underwater reef or something with a really interesting dark circular spot, which I imagine is an odd deeper part of the ocean. Not sure who I would view it, but it would be quite a sight, I think.

Potala Palace

This Tibetan palace is quite a famous place. If I remember correctly, this was the historical residence of the Dalai Lama, some big figure in Buddhism. The palace looks neat though, on its own little mountain or something, and big too.

Faille d'Aledjo

This is a really weird spot, I think, but it's not totally boring and it's in Togo, a little country in Africa. Sort of like a roadside stop in the U.S. Basically, it's a tall, very narrow-looking gap in a rock that a road's been built through.

Cape Fatucama

Cape Fatucama is a place in Timor-Leste that features a peninsula, with a hill that is topped by a large statue called Cristo Rei. From this place, and perhaps others in the cape area, are likely great views of Dili and other nearby features. There may be a chance to see Indonesia from here as well.

Prachuap Khiri Khan

Prachuap Khiri Khan, I think, is a city or something by the coast of the Gulf of Thailand. Its bay scenery is the main thing I found interesting, with some tall hills/mountains/rocks on islands and peninsulas. Also kinda neat is its location on one of the very skinniest parts of Thailand (like, less than 10 miles across from Myanmar to the ocean).

Ayutthaya

Ayutthaya was the capital of Siam hundreds of years ago, perhaps. It was apparently destroyed, but the ruins are still there, looking interesting.

Sukhothai

Sukhothai was the capital of ancient Siam hundreds of years ago. Its buildings today look really old and interesting architecturally.

Shwedagon Pagoda

Not interested in this for its religious significance or anything. It just big, golden, and noticeable.

Chichen Itza

Yes, there are likely better and less touristy places like it, but it does look famous and cool. Big stair-steppy pyramid. yay.

Acropolis

This is possibly Greece's most famous ancient landmark, and it's likely noticeable at Athens's Mars Hill. I think Paul did stuff here, too. Not sure.

Fallingwater

Fallingwater is a famous house or something designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in Pennsylvania. It has a unique setting on a river with waterfalls, and its shape and design looks appealing as well.

Aletsch Glacier

Aletsch Glacier is apparently the largest Swiss glacier. I imagine it's also easier to visit than other glaciers of the world. There's a good view it seems from some mountainous lookout points to its south, and likely plenty more.

Geneva

Geneva is a popular city for international events and headquarters, it seems. Among interesting places here are CERN and the city's tall water(?) fountain.

Ronda

Ronda is a Spanish city with really cool natural features, particularly the famous gorge depths. The city also looks architecturally pleasing to look at, and the famous bridge over the gorge seems quite impressive as well.

Lake Bled

Lake Bled in northwestern Slovenia has some serious romantic potential. There's even seems to be an island in this lake with a castle on it. Or maybe it's a church. Still, serious romantic potential in this area.

Also the nearby Vintgar Gorge seems to have a very lovely walk along a river in a forest canyon.

Singapore

Singapore's got weird and modern buildings, and probably some interesting culture due to all the different groups that seem to make up its population. Might be fun.

Freetown

Freetown and the surrounding populated area looks huge, but also seems like a fascinating place to explore. There are natural features like a cape and beaches and some mountains, as well as plenty of man-made structures, some of which are likely interesting (perhaps government buildings and lighthouses). The culture of this city also could be interesting to learn about.

Piva Lake

Piva Lake, and the mountainous rim above it, looks very promising as a beautiful place to stop and look.

Tara River Canyon

The canyon which contains the Tara River is huge, green, and looks amazing.

Ilhéu das Rolas

This island in São Tomé and Príncipe is small but interesting due to its location right along the earth's equator. There appears to be a monument dedicated to this interesting quality, and the island itself seems pretty scenic anyway.

Mount Titano

A famous feature of San Marino, Mount Titano looks like one excellent place to tour. The view from here is likely excellent, and the castle-like structure on top looks lovely.

Pitons

The Pitons are two enormous volcanoes on the southwestern coast of Saint Lucia. They look really impressive, especially being so close to the coast. I'd likely be interested in seeing the Gros Piton or the Petit Piton from multiple angles. From the sea, or from the other mountains, or from the beach, the Pitons probably look amazing most, if not all, of the time.

Brimstone Hill

This hill on the island of Saint Kitts (aka Saint Cristopher) has a historic fortress on top with gorgeous views of the sea, the island, and other islands. You can even see the Netherlands from here (okay, a Caribbean island that's under Dutch independence)! The fortress itself is also appears to be a nice place.

Valley of the Geysers

In a volcanic region of the Kamchatka Peninsula, there is an area known as the Valley of the Geysers. The pictures of this place capture some amazing views, and it appears to have been a natural wonder of this planet. Apparently, a landslide or something here happened recently, so I'm not sure if this place has been affected much since then. Still, the land looks beautiful.

Kizhi

Kizhi is an island in western Russia that includes an architecturally complex building that might be called the Transfiguration Church. This building has quite a number of those "onion dome" thingies.

Lake Baikal

To my knowledge, Lake Baikal is the world's deepest lake. It's probably Russia's largest and most famous lake as well. There is mountainous scenery right next to the lake, with abundant plant life as well.

Doha

Doha is the capital of Qatar, one of the wealthiest nations per person in the world. The skyline alone looks pretty impressive; it might seem really impressive at night. This place also seems to be trying to look its best for the international community, with their hosting of the World Cup and their bids for the Olympics, and other events they're likely working on.

Bom Jesus do Monte

This church in Braga features a very interestingly designed stairway that looks pretty cool.

Porto

Porto looks like one of Portugal's prettiest cities.

Lisbon

Lisbon is a historic city that's the capital of Portugal. Sights here include a castle, a place called Belem, and a statue called Cristo Rei.
