Taupo

The Taupo area on New Zealand's North Island contains a bunch of interesting things. There's Huka Falls, a place where waters does... something. It appears kinda pretty.

There's also a place called "Craters of the Moon", which appears to be a thermally active location. Yellowstone kinda creeped me out, but I'm curious if it's any different in New Zealand.

And there's some place called the Aratiatia Rapids, which apparently are dry for a while then occasionally filled with river due to a dam being opened and closed.
