Harbin

Harbin, China, is well-known for its ice-themed attractions and/or festival(s). Images of very colorfully-lit buildings at night make this place look fairly attractive. Not sure if it's year-round or just in winter, but it looks like a sight to see. Also, on a sadder note, there's a historic site from the Japanese occupation period where there were some terrible deaths that might be worth visiting.
