Timbuktu

It seems that this Malian city (aka Tomboctou, I think) is often mentioned as a joke, since it's so remote from so many places. There's actually some fairly interesting history here I think, as well as the interesting-looking Sancore Mosque. Also, it may be kinda cool to say one's been to Timbuktu.
